ON BEING ALIVE

I like the walking meditation for two main reasons. First you are meditating in Real situation and not removed in a special position and a special place. Then, when you OBSERVE what IS while walking, you clearly experience the transformation of the Present Instant at each step, and the fakeness of your thought-identity becomes as obvious as a little cloud in the vast sky.

Also, the walking meditation can be applied to many circumstances of your everyday life. It is a good beginning for a full meditating life where you can be on the BEING mode whatever you do. It must be remembered that meditation consists exclusively in OBSERVING what IS. You can practise it while at work, mostly manual tasks, while cooking your meal, drinking your coffee, reading your newspaper, or even playing with your children.

The main goal of meditation consists in not being absorbed in your thinking mind and not living withdrawn in the cognitive bubble of your thoughts and their removed world. To OBSERVE what IS, just here and now, doesn't need TIME, it is instant and is not the result of any preparation. You just shift from the thinking mode to the BEING mode and here you ARE, as you've always been, but you were absent, removed in your thoughts, their virtual Time and multiple constructions of dread, hope and other sorts of distractions.

To be mentally busy often helps you not facing your inner emptiness. Yet, I would like that you rather experience and totally embrace this emptiness which is but the INFINITE consciousness. The plenitude of LIFE is the other side of emptiness and only exist in this emptiness, just like the 500 billion known galaxies exist in the cosmic void. There is nothing to get in this emptiness, this is why for a person running after HAVING, it may seem destabilizing. In this emptiness you just ARE, and the experience of this ISness is pure discovery, an always renewed experience which is fresh and ALIVE
