SAMHAIN

The Feis na Samhain (pronounce Sawen), one of the four major pre-Christian festivals of the ancient Ireland, was held on the evening of 31 October into the following day, 1 November and until the sun rose.

It marked the end of one pastoral year and the commencement of the next. It was also an intensely spiritual event during which TIME was put aside and people were invited to focus on BEING within them which is Reality's INFINITE essence.

INFINITY was symbolized in the Mother Goddess Dana's figure, also known as the Goddess of all Waters, oceanic as well as lustral. INFINITY generates forms and existences within itself like a mother does. In short the Samhain was a feast where one could officially encounter INFINITY through oneself.

The Tuatha Dé Danaan were the proto-Celts also known as the Children of Dana or the Children of the Light. They came from the North (the White Island and its four very advanced cities). After the last mini Ice Age that occured some 12900 years ago, the Tuatha left the Arctic Circle and travelled to the Western Ireland where they burnt their vessels in sign they would remain there.
The Christians who wanted to impose their faith and erase everything that could remain from this great Celtic spirituality presented it as a pagan polytheism which was not true of course. The Tuatha Dé Danaan's spirituality was a pure monotheism where the unique INFINITY (ARD), expressed itself through a multitude of faces, just like in Zoroastrianism or Hinduism, for instance, which pantheons correspond to the different attributes of a unique Divinity.

When a spiritual revelation springs and becomes the source of a religion it is always an encounter with Reality's INFINITE essence, and therefore it can only be a monotheism. This is when people are identified with their thoughts, and therefore "think" the Divine through a cognitive fragmentation, instead of experiencing it as the INFINITE unity of BEING, that they may generate polytheism.
Measuring the importance of the Samhain feast, the Christians assimilated this event by renaming it 'the All Saints Day'. Later the Samhain was ridiculed as the Hallowe'en Night with ugly ghosts, witches and sorcerers. People identified with their thoughts have hard time saying: "I don't know", this is why they caricature what they cannot understand which threatens their memorized self.
For a person identified with thoughts the more memorized stuff is gathered under skull, the greater the thought-self seems to be.

On the other hand, for the person who's back to BEING within, this is Reality's INFINITE intelligence that is central and thought intelligence is just an assisting accessory like an integrated computer for instance.
