A massage to superpowers

Some 2500 years ago a spiritual instructor in China named Lao Tzu, worked as librarian of one of the Tang Dynasty emperor. Witnessing the growing decadence of
the empire, Lao Tzu left the capital. An officer recognizing him asked that he delivers his wisdom before disappearing. Lao Tzu remained with the officer for a while
and wrote his only book, the Tao Te Ching. What Lao Tzu called the Tao, the early Zoroastrianism called it the KHOD and I call it the INFINITE ISness of Reality.
When we read Lao Tzu’s definition of what is a great nation we realize that what nowadays superpowers are doing is just insane and criminal. They should rethink
their philosophy since obviously materialism, its quest for power and its abject violence, do not work at all, it is a total fiasco.

A GREAT NATION ACCORDING TO LAO TZU.

When a country obtains great power,
It becomes like the sea:
all streams run downward into it.
The more powerful it grows,
the greater the need for humility.
Humility means trusting the Tao,
thus never needing to be defensive.
A great nation is like a great man:
When he makes a mistake, he realizes it.
Having realized it, he admits it.
Having admitted it, he corrects it.
He considers those who point out his faults
as his most benevolent teachers.
He thinks of his enemy
as the shadow that he himself casts.
If a nation is centered in the Tao,
If it nourishes it’s own people
and doesn’t meddle in the affairs of others,
It will be a light to all nations in the world.
